Red Soil

Red Soil Project is an experimental initiative that explores the commercialization of AI-generated art. I developed a structured workflow that merges AI-generated visuals with real photographic textures to achieve highly realistic results.

The process involves several stages:

  1. Prompt Creation: Using ChatGPT to generate precise prompts for producing AI images.

  2. Image Generation: Training the AI to create a large pool of image samples — in my case, approximately 1,000 images were generated to select around 20 high-quality outputs.

  3. Studio Photography: Capturing real model photographs under studio lighting designed to replicate the conditions seen in the selected AI images.

  4. Image Integration: Combining AI-generated visuals with real photographs in Photoshop, followed by detailed refinements. AI generative tools within Photoshop are also utilized to adjust finer elements, enhancing realism and ensuring the final composition meets professional photographic standards.

Summary:
The Red Soil Project demonstrates how AI and traditional photography can be integrated to produce commercially viable, photorealistic images. This workflow not only enhances creative possibilities but also bridges the gap between digital experimentation and real-world visual quality. While the current images still fall short of matching the quality of real-life photographs, I believe that with the continuous development of AI models, this gap will be bridged in the near future.
